Journeying Through Grief: Nurturing Love, Creativity, and Hope

Spring feels like a distant hope amidst the relentless rain storms here in Southern California. While not as severe as last year, the challenges of caring for my animals, especially the horses, amidst the inconsistency are quite taxing. Adding to the weight, my heart aches for my boyfriend, Christopher, who recently lost his grandmother. In the midst of our grief, we’ve opened our home to foster his grandmother’s dog, Lucy, until we can find her a loving home.

Reflecting on the recent Valentine’s Day, Christopher and I shared our first celebration together, marked by simplicity and heartfelt gestures. I gifted him a bracelet adorned with the infinity symbol, a silent promise of eternal love. For his second gift, I presented date night dice, a playful tool to infuse spontaneity into our time together. His thoughtful response, red roses and a custom-made Funko Pop! figurine in my likeness, adorned with a dog, a cat, and symbols of my passions, truly touched my heart.

Amidst the emotional whirlwind, I’ve found solace in my creative pursuits, particularly my epoxy resin artwork and jewelry crafting. In a tribute to my late pet Gary, I incorporated his feathers into a dream catcher, capturing his essence for eternity. Delving into new territory, I crafted my first wire-wrapped ring, a testament to my evolving skills and artistic vision. As I embark on new creations, I eagerly anticipate sharing them on my website, a testament to my journey of healing and self-expression.

In the wake of Christopher’s grandmother’s passing, I’ve devoted myself to creating meaningful pieces for Christopher, his mother, and his aunts, incorporating delicate fresh flowers into my designs. Christopher’s resilience amidst his grief is both inspiring and humbling, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to support him and his family during this difficult time. Our decision to foster Lucy, a dog who has endured her own hardships, symbolizes our commitment to providing love and security to those in need.

Though I only had the pleasure of meeting Christopher’s grandmother once, her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on me. Christopher’s deep affection for her speaks volumes, and I hold her memory close to my heart.

As the spring season approaches, filled with promise and renewal, I eagerly anticipate embracing new beginnings and embarking on projects around our property. With graduation on the horizon, I am hopeful for the future and grateful for the positive energy and support surrounding me. Please send your warmest vibes my way as I navigate this journey.
